Where creators thrive.

Beyond the brand, OFFGRID sponsors festival stages and live showcases where emerging artists can perform, be discovered, and build real audiences proving that visibility should come from community, not algorithms.

Big Ideas,
Real Impact.

The solution is a UI/UX interface that reimagines music discovery through community-focused interaction, encouraging fairer exposure and meaningful connections between creators and listeners beyond algorithm-driven popularity systems.

STRATEGY

The strategy is to create a community-driven platform that protests algorithmic invisibility by shifting the focus from vanity metrics to authentic connection. The platform encourages direct interaction between artists, listeners, and collaborators, where music can be discovered through community recommendation, feedback, and shared interests rather than algorithmic ranking.

the brief

Create a bold protest brand that uses impactful design, clear messaging, and thoughtful visual details to make that idea impossible to ignore.

the Problem

Music streaming promises equal opportunity, yet algorithms prioritise popularity over emerging talent. In an oversaturated digital landscape, creativity is abundant but visibility is scarce. This protest brand challenges that invisible imbalance. Other platforms have many creators report that  lacks discoverability tools.

Insights

50% of artists have fewer than 100 lifetime streams(GearNews, 2025).
Most creators are essentially invisible algorithmically because they haven’t reached a threshold of listeners that would get picked up by recommendation systems.

78% of artists on the Soundcloud platform go entirely unheard month-to-month (D’Souza, 2025).
SoundCloud requires engagement signals (likes/repost) to break out of obscurity, meaning visibility depends heavily on social connection and interaction.
